It has once again been forever since I have posted anything, but now that classes have started I have plenty of things coming up that I will be blogging about soon including a fashion show I am coordinating that will happen on April 7th... so keep checking back to see updates I am making about the show and other events. :)

Polyvore may possibly be the most addicting app I have ever downloaded. If you love fashion and styling outfits or even home decorating I would highly suggest giving it a try. The possibilities are endless for things you can design! I am going to start putting these outfits up regularly to keep my blog fresh and up-to-date.

1. On Wednesdays We Wear Oxblood.
I love the color of these jeans! Make them pop with the neutral accessories and awesome tribal cardi.
 2. Urban Chic.
This look easily transitions from class to night out. Also, Jeffrey Campbell Litas are surprisingly very comfortable, I wear mine all the time with ease and never have to worry about my feet hurting so that's why I think these heels work for class.
 3. Cool & Casual
This boho outfit is perfect for class! The shearling jacket will definitely keep you warm walking around campus and the combat boots can be useful in the rain and other elements. Just add retro accessories to complete the look!

Outfit Inspiration: Holiday Party

I want to start out by saying sorry for not posting in so long, my computer was messed up... or so I thought. Turns out it was my power adapter to charge the computer so luckily that was as easy as replacing the old one!Anyway, let's talk about fashion!

It is that time of year again when you have lots of fun holiday parties and gatherings to go to! I've made 3 go to outfits to inspire you for your next event!

1. Tartan Plaid has been all over the runways the past couple seasons. It's a great print for the holiday season because it usually has some festive color incorporated, like red or green. It is also commonly found on those warm fabrics we like to bundle up in (cozy flannel shirts!) You can wear the plaid in many different ways, for this look I chose a more punk/ edgy vibe with the chunky chains and black nails.

2. Fur is one of my personal favorite things to wear in the winter time! I think it looks so luxe and sophisticated, plus its super warm and soft!I paired this faux fur vest with a royal blue form-fitting dress. I wanted the focus to be on the awesome vest while still making the color of the dress pop, so I chose neutral accessories to match the grey in the vest.

3. There are so many ways to style the LBD. I wanted to keep the color pallete mainly neutral with pops of red to match the soles of these amazing Christian Louboutin Booties. The cross tights keep you warm and trendy along with the gold accessories. Careful not to smudge your red Dior lipstick if you get caught under the mistletoe with that special someone ;)

Black and White Stripes

I always notice all the graffiti around town and thought it would be a cool background for some more editorial type photos.I wanted to feature the black and white trend I talked about a few days ago. I love how easy it is to pair black and white stripes with a fun, bold color.
I have to say, Tom is getting pretty good at being my photographer. Had such a fun day with him today shooting this!

Trend Report: Black and White and Chic All Over

So school started this week and the excitement of being back on campus surrounded by all my fellow fashion merch and design girls (and guy) has given me all kinds of ideas for the blog so I'm really excited about what is to come for The Wandering Bohemian!

One of my classes this semester is Merchandising. Our first assignment is a trend report on a current trend and where we think that trend is going in the upcoming seasons. I immediately knew I wanted to do my trend report over Black and White Stripes! This trend is is bold, mod, and always sophisticated- not to mention so easy to style! Here are some inspirational pictures for the fashionistas who wanna rock the B&W...

Trending Now: Southwestern Prints

Oh Hey Internet, It's been a while, I know. I really have no excuse other than pure laziness and lack of motivation. That is until a couple weeks ago a certain someone told me they look at my blog all the time. At least I know there is someone out there who is interested in what i'm doing and it really only takes that one person to motivate me to do a new post... :)

So let's talk fashion. I'm in love with all Southwestern prints at the moment, and I really shouldn't say "at the moment" because this is really something I have always had an eye for. Back in February I was involved with a charity event called Project Runaway. It was a fashion show for upcoming designers who all recreated an outfit out of random items from a thrift store. The reason I wanted to share this story is because one of the items I used in my design was a fleece blanket with a southwestern print. I ended up getting 3rd place and won some cool prizes, if you want to read more i'll include a link to an article about the event! (and of course i'm going to include some pictures on here.)

This is what I started out with....

And this is what I created! :)

The back ended up having only an elastic strap where that small black piece is to create a sexy cutout

Photoshoot

Today I skimmed my closets for a few of my favorite pieces that I would like to feature on my blog soon. I came up with a few sample outfits that I may be wearing in the future. This would be my ultimate dream job, picking out outfits all day and dressing models, celebs, myself, etc... oh the life of a stylist. I love fashion too much sometimes.
